The Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, PA has been closed off using the President’s now famous ‘barrycades.’

Via Twitchy:

This weekend’s Million Veteran March in Washington, D.C., brought attention to the closure of the nation’s open-air war memorials and other monuments, but another memorial has been quietly “Barrycaded” as well. WPXI reminds us that the open-air Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville, Pa., has been closed off to the public as well since the shutdown began.

WPXI reports:

The closure of national parks and memorials due to the government shutdown has people outraged in Somerset County.

Angry visitors have taken out their frustration on the closure sign at the Flight 93 Memorial.

“It’s a memorial for people who were lost in the tragedy.  It has nothing to do with the government,” said Jessica Shaffer, who made the trip from Ohio.

“I don’t think it’s right.  I don’t think we should be suffering for what our government has done,” said Barry Haslup.

Haslup tried to walk around the closed gate and orange cones, but rangers kindly asked him to turn around.

“This is ridiculous,” Haslup said.

An unhappy visitor took a pen and left the administration a message on the sign:

“They gave their lives to SAVE the White House.  This being closed is an obscenity!!!”
